​​​​Itinerary:

Day 1: Orewa - Queenstown - Cromwell

Transfer from Orewa to Auckland Airport and fly to Queenstown where we will be met by our private driver. From here we will visit Chanteder Garden followed by the famous Highlands Park Museum including the quirky Sculpture Park. In the afternoon we will check into our accommodation at the Heritage Lake Resort Hotel and enjoy a lovely 3 course dinner. Meals included - Dinner, Breakfast. 

Day 2: Cromwell

After breakfast we will stop for a tour of Jacksons Orchard - which grows cherries, apricots, apples, pears, nectarines and more! From there we will experience the Domaine Rewa, where we will enjoy wine tasting and a pottery tour. Next stop is lunch at the very popular Cloudy Bay Shed followed by a 2 hour tour of the Bendigo Area, which was where during the Otago Gold Rush, gold was discovered at the creek. Meals included - Breakfast, Lunch, 3 course Dinner.

Day 3: Cromwell - Clyde - Wedderburn - St Bathans - Naseby - Danseys Pass

Depart Cromwell after breakfast and head to Clyde to enjoy free time. On our way to Wedderburn Tavern for lunch, we will stop at the Heritage Village, St Bethans. We end our day with a Curling Experience in Naseby. Following this there will be a short drive to Danseys pass and we will enjoy an overnight stay at the historic and unique Danseys Pass Hotel. Meals included: Breakfast, Morning Tea, Lunch, Dinner. 

Day 4: Danseys Pass - Moeraki - Oamaru

Today we will drive through the Danseys Pass, this stunning and scenic pass is in the Kakanui Range and has 935M elevation. Enroute at the end of the Pass, we will make a scenic stop at The Elephant Rocks. Continue South East to Moeraki.  From here we will continue to Oamaru where will visit the Oamaru Gardens. There will be free time in the afternoon to explore Oamaru at leisure before the Blue Penguin Tour, where you get close to penguins sitting only 2-3M from where they arrive and cross into the colony! Settle down into accommodation at Poshtel, Oamaru. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch. 

Day 5: Oamaru - Omarama  

Depart Oamaru after breakfast and head inland to the North Otago Region and enjoy a one-hour tour of the Whitestone Cheese Factory including cheese & wine tasting.Then make a visit to Elephant Rocks followed by Vanished World Centre in Duntroon to better understand the geological wonders of this site. We will then visit the famous Kurow Hotel for lunch (not included). After lunch we will depart for Omarama - a small town famous for their Merino Wool. Here you can enjoy free time before settling into our accommodation of the Heritage Gateway Hotel. Meals included: Breakfast, Dinner. 

Day 6: Omarama - Lindis Valley - Wanaka 

 A slightly earlier start for a fantastic day of experiences. After breakfast we leave Omarama and drive through the stunning Lindis Valley.  This alpine area of tall, tussock-covered mountains is beautiful in every season, but with a dusting of snow it's particularly enchanting. The dramatic Lindis Pass links the Mackenzie Basin with Central Otago. The actual pass crosses a saddle between the valleys of the Lindis and Ahuriri Rivers at an altitude of 971 metres above sea level. Native bird species living here include rifleman, grey warbler, fantail and falcon. At 10am we will visit the Lavender farm, Wanaka. Enjoy a walk through the flowers or unwind over a cup of herbal tea & indulge in a lavender ice-cream. You are then invited to the Mills family farm at Rippon Valley for wine tasting and to share in their history, community, story and wines. Enroute Lunch stop in Wanaka (lunch not included and on own account). In the afternoon we take a boat cruise to the remote and magical Mou Waho Island nature reserve for a guided nature tour. Day 7: Wanaka - Queenstown Airport - Auckland - Orewa. After breakfast, depart Wanaka for Queenstown. Cross the stunning Crown Range from Wanaka for a brief stop in Arrowtown. This delightful gold rush village is nestled below the beautiful peaks that surround the sparkling Arrow River. Finally, we will be dropped off at Queenstown airport and fly back to Auckland before being transferred home to Orewa.
